What does it mean to rest? What does it mean to be well? Centering Rest is Resistance: A Manifesto by Tricia Hersey, we will explore these questions together in a six-part series starting in February 2023.

About the Event
This six-part series will include deep conversations, collective resting, time in nature, and intentional discussions around the book Rest is Resistance: A Manifesto by Tricia Hersey, founder of the Nap Ministry. The group will meet once a month for six months starting in February to creatively imagine paths away from capitalism and back to ourselves toward the liberatory healing our bodies can generate. Join us as we build and grow in community. Space is limited, so register at your earliest convenience.
Our first meeting will take place on Sunday, February 12 from 2-4pm. Subsequent sessions will be scheduled based on the groups availability.
Your ticket purchase includes:
- A copy of Rest is Resistance: A Manifesto by Tricia Hersey
- A journal
- Light refreshments including tea and coffee from the tea room during sessions
- Other costs associated with 6 month series programming that may include park admission fees, class or instructor fees, food costs, etc
- Any remaining funds from participant fees will be contributed to The Bottom in support of bookstore operations
