Arts in movement
meet up

The Arts in Movement Meet Ups initiative is a long-term investment into artists and makers from underrepresented and underserved communities.

As an ongoing program, we continuously provide support, resources, and a welcoming space for our creative community to connect, grow, and thrive. Currently, we meet monthly and are actively raising funds to support events and offer additional programming throughout the year.
we asked artists what they
needed to thrive in community,
here's what they said:
welcoming spaces to learn together and share knowledge

Through the Arts in Movement Meet Ups, we are listening and responding to creative voices, and helping emerging artists establish themselves by providing resources and supportive spaces to learn, develop, and create.

Our hope for this program is to offer free or low-cost creative development opportunities led by artists and arts organizations rooted in underrepresented communities. These offerings will supplement our general monthly meetups and ensure we're creating new pathways for artistic growth throughout the year.

By providing intentional programming and working with artists and organizations that reflect the diversity of our community, we are investing in voices that have historically been marginalized. We aim to cultivate a sense of artistic pride and expand access to creative development for all.
