A Monthly Book Subscription
Particularly in the present moment, with people all over the country reconciling with and addressing generations of racial inequality, Black books are crucial. In addition to making Black history, culture and experiences accessible to the general population, this subscription service provides a space for the community to not only read, but to also discuss what they read in monthly conversations.

Join our book conversations! We meet every third Sunday of the month via Zoom. Our community is local and national.

Our Book it at The Bottom book subscription service offers the following categories:
​
1. Book of the Month (Adult Literature)
2. Young Adult (Ages 12-18)
3. Tween (Ages 9-12)
4. Children's Books (Ages 5-9)
5. Baby Books (Ages 0-5)
6. Book Fairy (Donation-based)

There are two options for receiving your books:
1. Pick Up at the Bottom
2. Ship to Home

Feel free to mix and match the categories to meet your family's needs, or gift this subscription to a book lover!
If you sign up by the 14th of any month, your subscription will begin on the 1st of the following month. Please read details & FAQs below.

What's covered in the monthly fee?

The cost of the book, taxes and shipping materials.
​
When will my subscription begin?
​
Subscriptions made by the 14th of the month will begin in the same month, subscriptions made after the 14th will begin the following month. (Example: If you subscribe by the 14th of January, your subscription will begin on February 1st. If you subscribe after the 14th of January and before the 14th of February, your subscription will begin on March 1st)
When are books shipped?
​
Book orders are placed on the 15th of the month. They are packaged between the 27th and the 1st of the following month, and are mailed out during that first week.
​
When should I expect to receive my book?
​
Due to operation restrictions during COVID19, we can not guarantee an exact delivery date.
​
If you selected pick-up, the book will be available between the 27th and the 1st of the following month. In the case that the book is back ordered, we will let you know when it's available for pick-up.
​
What if I already have the book?
​
You can request two substitute books per year, chosen from a list of provided substitutions.
​
What is the cancellation policy?
​
Your subscription may be cancelled at any time. Please email thebottomknox@gmail.com if you need assistance.

Books will be announced in our e-newsletter (subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom of this page). Books titles will also be available on our website.

Yes, you can change categories and delivery preference.

Our specially curated collections are Black affirming, Black empowering and Black authored literature
