About the Event

Independent Bookstore Day celebrates the unique contributions and cultural significance of indie bookstores in communities across the country. By purchasing books from our black-affirming bookshop, you're supporting a diverse literary ecosystem that champions a wide range of voices and perspectives.

Supporting independent bookstores is not just about buying books—it's about building community, celebrating culture, and preserving the joy of reading for generations to come. Join us on Saturday, April 27th for a book swap, giveaways, and plenty of literary fun for all ages!

Bring in new or gently used books & art pieces in need of a new home and find new-to-you books and artwork to take with you. This event is a great way to refresh your bookshelf! All books are welcome, and anything leftover at the end of the day will be donated. Attendees who donate books to the swap will receive a coupon for $5 off new items in the bookshop.
