Black Creatives Meetup: Words in Grey with Genesis the Greykid
Join us in collaboration with UT Downtown Gallery for a unique poetry workshop! Centered amongst the exhibition “Y’all Don’t Hear Me: The Black Appalachia, An Ode to Nikki“, attendees will be pushed to think outside of the box, explore senses and perspectives, and draw inspiration from moments.

About the Workshop:
Presented in collaboration with UT Downtown Gallery, this workshop takes place amongst the exhibition "Y’all Don’t Hear Me: The Black Appalachia" An Ode to Nikki Giovanni curated by Kreneshia Whiteside-McGee. This poetry workshop will be filled with creative exercises, and led by fine artist, poet and creative Genesis the Greykid. Attendees can expect to think outside of the box, explore senses and perspectives, and draw inspiration from moments. This event is at UT Downtown Gallery, 106 S Gay St.
About the Workshop Leader:
Genesis the Greykid is a fine artist, poet, & creative who has sold artwork all over the country and internationally. He's worked with some of the biggest creatives and artists within the industry. His passions are people, places, and memory....and feels the best way to speak of this love, is through his gift with art and poetry.
