About the Event
After receiving instruction from local printmaker George Habeib, workshop attendees will utilize a range of simple tools to bind their own paperback books. Participants will leave with their own handmade journal or sketchbooks and are encouraged to experiment and personalize their covers. This workshop is open to all skill levels.
About the Artist:
Born in Reyad, Saudi Arabia to an Egyptian Family, George Habeib has been an artist from day one. From scrap paper drawings and doodles to formulating sketchbooks out of composition notebooks. George has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts with a concentration in 2-Dimensional Studio Arts (Painting, Drawing, Printmaking). They're also a founding member of OAKnox, Open Arts Knoxville, a new local artist group that is still expanding and developing its reach and advocacy efforts.
